Monday Made It

I am linking up with Tara at Fourth Grade Frolics for Monday Made It.  I  must admit not to much was made at the Knefely household over Christmas break.  I spent my first week running around and then my second week I was lazy.  I did manage to finish my mini unit up on Martin Luther King Jr.  It has a really simple writing craftivity and some printables.  I plan on using this with some other materials and books that I already have in my class room.  It will make a great supplement to what I am already using.
Next up โ€ฆ I actually finished this little number last month, but I did not link up.  Since I did not link up I decided to tag it on with this month.  I think this is my favorite unit I have made.   All of the clip art is centered around Melondheadz 80’s kids {being a kid from the 80’s, it was love at first sight}.  This set is loaded with games and printables to teach nouns, verbs, and adjectives.   I have used some of the games covering nouns and verbs in my classroom and the students loved it.  Be sure to check it out in my TpT shop.
Last โ€ฆ I did manage to scrapbook a couple of pages using kits from Out on a Limb Scrapbooking.  I just can’t get into digital scrapbooking yet.  I know how to do it, but there is something that I love about manipulating the papers and pictures around.  I am still scrapbooking the ole’ fashion way.  Sometimes I will come up with my own ideas, and other times I will will by kits like these below.  In a kit you still have to put everything together and chalk all the paper if you want it to have the best look.   Although I have the pages made up, I still need to get the pictures printed and get them put on the pages.   I am behind on my scrapbooking, but that is ok I make sure I always keep what pictures I do have printed in order and organized.   This way when I do get time to scrapbook I can just make a page or just put a picture on a page and it is ready to go!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!  Be sure to link up.  I always love looking at all the neat ideas that everyone comes up with!

Love the Grammar Flashbacks! I just put one in my cart…:) Also, I'm with ya…I'm a physical scrapbooker and I just can't let myself fall into the world of digital scrapbooking, even though I am a HUGE tech geek! I love handling all the cool stuff there is to use in this craft!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
