Monday Made It

I am linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for their Monday Made It Linky!  I am new to all this, but I am lovin’ these linky parties.  They are so much fun!

Ok gals – back on track – for my Monday Made It I fixed up two very old antique desk.   Let’s start from the beginning:  My two daughters have really been begging for desk in their rooms.   I really didn’t want to fork over a bunch a money for one, but I wanted it to be cute and match their room.   My mom {thank goodness for her} years ago use to have an antique store.   Lucky for me she had kept a few things.   So off I  went digging in the storage, and guess what she had,  two desk very similar to each other.   However, they were not in the best of shape.   They were very old, a little rustic and very shaky.   So I loaded them up brought them home.  Of course my hubs was all to thrilled with my newest project {insert sarcasm here}.   We stripped them down and repainted them a pretty turquoise color to match the girls rooms.  They turned out really cute.  I gave the metal tops a good scrubbing and left all the little untidy details.   I think it gives them character.
So there you have it – my Monday Made It project.  Thanks for taking a peek.

So cute! My daughter needs a new T.V. cabinet/stand in her room (it's my old desktop computer desk and it's bulky). I was thinking of junking to find something and re-doing it. But it would be #3 on my list of re-do's this summer;)

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
