Favorite Things {Linky Party}

I am linking up with Across the Hall in 2nd for their Favorite Things:  Feels Like Home linky party.  For it feels like home I am going to show you a few things that are in my own personal house that makes it feel like home sweet home!!!

This is where I spend way too much time.  My family and I call it the “Scrapbook Room” but it really serves as an office, craft room, or anything goes kinda room.  It is where the computer is, it is also where I keep all my crafting supplies.  I have a desk for the computer and all of its gadgets and I also have a desk where I do my scrapbooking or any other type crafts.  In the closet I have shelving units to hold my scrapbook paper and all my other gadgets.  This room definitely gets used a lot! :))

The next thing my house needs in order to function is a place where invitations or any other upcoming events we need to know about can be in plain sight.   And since I am in the kitchen at least some point in the day, I have a magnet board where we keep any upcoming events.

The next thing that feels like home is a picture board that I recently purchased on a trip to Utah.   I found this board in a little boutique.  I fell in love with it as soon as I saw it.    So I bought it and crammed it into my car to drive back with {needless to say the hubs was not happy}.  The frame was so big and bulky and it would not pack right in the car.  But I was determined that it was coming back with me.  A girl has to have souvenirs too!!! {I reminded the hubs of this as well, his reply was to pick something smaller}.  I have only put a few pictures on it, but I have not had it that long.  I hope to add more soon.

The next thing that I am really lovin’ at my house is this shelf that my mom gave me on Monday for my birthday.  It has all these vintage hooks on it to hang stuff off of it.  I am not sure where I am going to put it just yet {leaning toward our mud room/catch all room, that way it will be right there were you take off shoes, set down purses, or hang coats up}.  I think it would be cute just about anywhere.  I am really diggin’ all the cute handles on it.  The round handle is an old door knob.  It is kinda hard to tell in this picture what the round shape is.

The last and most import thing that makes my home feel like a home is my family.  It is so hard to remember what I did before I had these two little stinkers. They are the most important thing in my home and life.  They are what keeps our home entertained and full of joy.

On a different note, I just opened a TpT store {finally}!  If you like the chevron paper used as the background for my pictures, I just put a set in as my first product.  It is a pack of 10 digital chevron papers.  I hope to add more products soon.  And I have to give a shout out to one of my dearest friends {we have been friend since elementary school} who helped me figure out some really cool tricks in my photoshop program so I can start making my own products.   I have to hand it to her, she is a photoshop genius in my book!! :))
