Favorite Things Linky: Beauty Basics

This week I am linking up with Halle with Across the Hall in 2nd for a Few of My Favorite Things:  Beauty Basics.   By no means am I a beauty consultant on all the hottest trends and I definitely should not be pumping out any beauty advice, but here are a few of my favorite beauty products I use.
I absolutely love Olay bar soap.   I love the way it makes my skin feel soft.  It also has such a clean smell to it.   Anytime I have ever used any other soap, I feel like my skin gets so dried out.   I even use this soap nightly to wash my face with.     It can be a little pricier than some of the other soaps out their, but it is so worth it to me.
The second beauty product that I can’t live without is Bed Head TGIF hairspray.   You see I live in Louisiana where the heat and humidity can be brutal.   When I step outside it is like my hair automatically goes into frizzy mode.  I love this hairspray because it tames my frizziness and flyways. It also holds really well.   Plus it has such an awesome smell.
My third beauty basic is the classic Maybeline Great Lash Mascara.   I have tried what seems like a different million mascaras and I always come back to this one.   It is what I like to call the, “Best bang for your buck”.   It is so cheap and a lot of time you can find it on sale at local drug stores.  I like the way it makes my lashes look thicker and longer.  My favorite color would have to be Very Black.   I guess there is a reason why it is alway listed in magazines as one of the top mascaras.
My last beauty basic product that I love is Clinique lipsticks.  I would have to say my two favorite colors would be Raspberry Glace and Glazed Berry.   I like the way Clinique lipsticks glide on my lips and it keeps them mostiurized.  Plus they have a wide variety of colors to choose from.
So here you have it, a few of my favorite can’t live with out products.

I have Clinique Black Honey…I never ever wear it though, because I always reach for chapstick first! I want to try to wear more lipstick.

I love that mascara! BUT have you tried Benefit's "They're Real?" It is expensive, but your eyelashes look A-MA-ZING!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hog’s Day. I can’t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear🤣but it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hog’s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. You’re welcome!😉 ... See MoreSee Less
