A Week of Valentine’s Fun

This week we have been busy making several Valentine’s Day crafts.  My class has had so much fun making some of these cute crafts.  It has worked out well this week for us since it is a benchmark week.   Since extra time is very hard to come by we are taking advantage of this time to squeeze in some fun activities.   I thought I would share with you some of the fun Valentine’s themed activities we completed so far this week.
Up first we made the adorable “Lovebot” from Teaching in the Tongass.  The activity actually called for grey paper, but I was completely out so we made pink and red Lovebots or you had the option to color yours grey.

Then we made our Valentine’s Day treat bags.  I bought this product from The Teacher Wife a few years ago and have used it since then.  I purchased the “All You Need is Love” set that includes other writing and math activities, but she now has it available to purchase just the craftivity.  I always love to see how the bags turn out.  We also did the “Yummy Math” activity.

We did not just make crafts all week.  We also reviewed over cause and effect, but of course we did it with a little Valentine’s Day activity.
We also practice counting to 100 with even and odd numbers but we used hearts.  And to finish the day out we played a game of I Have Who Has Valentine’s Day style.  Tomorrow is our class party and I can’t wait to see all the cute little Valentine’s they pass out to one another.
Well that about wraps it up for me.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.   I hope you have a Happy Valentine’s Day!!!!!

Looks like you've had a fun week! I had a fun week planned too, but Mother Nature had a different plan! At least we have a regular day tomorrow!

I saw on the news that it was all headed your way. We had a little sleet/ice, but most of it went to the east of us. I live right in the northern part of Louisiana. It seems like everything goes right above, below, or to the east of us. All we had was mostly cold temps. Although today it did finally get in the high 40's which was a nice change!!! Happy Valentine's Day!!!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hog’s Day. I can’t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear🤣but it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hog’s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. You’re welcome!😉 ... See MoreSee Less
