What I’m Loving Wednesday – Linky Party

I am linking up with Covered in Glitter and Glue for their Wednesday Linky Party.

1.  The first thing I am lovin’ this Wednesday is that I can officially go and work in my classroom now. I have been unable to go to my classroom due to all of the cleaning going on.  Now that all that business is taken care of, I can start on my own to do list.  So sometime this week I hope to get up to my class and get started. It shouldn’t be to bad … I was able to leave my boards up.  So it will mostly just be setting up and getting ready for my new group.  Stay tuned ….  I plan to post before and after pictures.   Last year I changed my theme of my room and let me tell you … I think it is pretty stinkin’ cute!!!!
2.  The second thing I am lovin’ this Wednesday is that my family and I got together to celebrate my birthday.  That’s right folks, I am officially 36.  I am inching closer to 40 with each passing day.  I feel like my thirties have flown by.  Boy, where does the time go?  Anyway, back on track … my family and I celebrated my birthday with a dinner at Cheese Cake Bistro {one of my favorite places, yum} followed with a cookie cake from Great American Cookie Company.   What is a birthday without a cookie cake, right?
3.  The third thing I am lovin’ this Wednesday is that I finally switched my Teachers Pay Teachers account to a seller’s account.   Hold on, don’t get to excited yet ….. I have only downloaded one free item so far.   But the good thing is now I feel like I have officially arrived to all this blogging teaching world.  I have wanted to have my own blog for a while now and I finally did it this summer.  I have always wanted to put some of my own ideas on TpT too.  So this is the summer that I have made some things happen.  Stay tuned to see what else I add on.  Just give me some time to get the ball rolling {I do have two very active little girls that keep me on my toes}.  I can’t wait to see all the possibilities that this little blog of my can bring.  Below is my free item posted to my TpT shop.  If you would like it, please download.  I know it is nothing spectacular, but baby steps right???
So there you have it, what I am lovin’ this Wednesday.   I can’t wait to hear what you are lovin’.  Thanks for taking a peek.

I can't wait to see pictures of your classroom!!! My grade level is moving to a new school and we don't know when we'll be able to get into our new classrooms {I may be panicking a little!} so seeing other teacher's classrooms and getting ideas makes me feel a little better ๐Ÿ™‚

    Happy belated birthday!

I know what you mean about panicking … You just want to see it so you can start planning. Thanks for stopping by.

I know, I hate the anticipation of waiting to get into your room! We can't start working in our rooms until August, but the kiddos don't arrive until the 26th, so that should still give me plenty of time!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
