Someone New Sunday

I want to say thanks to Marie at The Hands-On Teacher for selecting me to be featured as her Someone New Sunday.

Every Sunday she list a new and upcoming blogger.   This is my lucky week, because she picked me.  She asked me several questions about teaching and a few on personal stuff.  Click on the link above to check out my answers.  Her idea is great because it gives you a chance to meet new bloggers.
I also wanted to say thanks to everyone who is following me.  When I started this I was thinking if I could just get maybe 25 followers by the end of summer I would be doing great.  Well, I am happy to report I have exceeded that amount.  I am up to 46 followers.  But more importantly I have meet some really great teachers out there who have fabulous ideas.   I can’t wait to meet more!!!  Thanks for taking a peek and I look forward to hearing from you.

I love your blog. It is too cute. How cool you were featured on someone else blog! Don't forget to add a bloglovin button to get more followers since there is no Google Reader.

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
