Looking for fun Johnny Appleseed activities for third grade and beyond. This resource is designed for UPPER ELEMENTARY STUDENTS. Students will complete a Johnny Appleseed craft, timeline, reading comprehension and other activities. All activities are Common Core Standard based. Students love to learn about Johnny Appleseed at all ages. This resource has activities that are good for upper elementary students.
In this set you will receive the following:
● An easy to assembly Johnny Appleseed writing prompt craftivity. The writing prompt can be of your choosing. I chose to have my students to write the things learned about Johnny Appleseed at the end of the mini unit. There are directions and an image to help with assembly. Included are two different lined writing papers. One with regular lines for older students and the other is handwriting lines for younger students.
● Cut and paste timeline. The students will cut 6 important events that occurred in Johnny Appleseed’s life and glue in the correct order on a timeline. I have provided an answer key/picture of the finished timeline, so you may see where the correct answers should be placed.
● A short reading pass over Johnny Appleseed’s life with comprehension questions.
● Fact and Opinion Printable
● Concept Map for Johnny Appleseed
● Sequencing statements together using clue words. The statements are based on things learned about Johnny Appleseed’s life. They will cut statement apart and glue on construction paper.
● Answer keys are provided where needed.
