Boom! Learning App: A Digital Task Card Must

Task cards are not a new invention to a classroom.  Teachers love task cards!  They help cover the standards that teachers are required to teach.  Task cards are perfect to use in small group settings. They can be used to help self assess learning, bellringers, partner work, and so much more.   If you can't tell already, I love to use task cards in my classroom.  What if I … [Read more...]

Are You Posting Your Rich Pins Correctly? A Pinterest Tip!

If you have been a follower for any amount of time, you have probably noticed I have updated a few things on my blog.  I kept my logos and headers the same, but I added several new widgets and a new navabar (which still needs info. added #sorrynotsorry #teacherisonsummerbreak).   I also switched from using the free blogspot.com to a custom domain name (read this great blog post on why … [Read more...]

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hog’s Day. I can’t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear🤣but it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hog’s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. You’re welcome!😉 ... See MoreSee Less

One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this 👇🏻 bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
