Monday Made It

I am linking up with 4th Grade Frolics for Monday Made It.  As most of my followers know I am fairly new to blogging and really new to TpT.  You also know if you have read any of my post that we are starting a new reading series this year.  My state {Louisiana} adopted the Common Core standards last year.  The parish I worked in decided to get a new reading series that correlates with Common Core.  I decided since I was going to be making new stuff for the reading series why not also open a TpT shop as well.  So this is what I have been up to, trying to get all my power points made for the new series.  It doesn’t help that we have not received all of our teaching materials yet.   You heard me right …  we are kinda having to wing it on the new series.  Don’t get me wrong the stuff is arriving, just at a slow pace.   Here are few of my recent units.

I also made a unit to go with the book, “Me on the Map”.  I love this book.   To read my older post about it click here.   The kids in my class had such a blast putting this activity together.
I notice the more I work on products the better my creativity gets.  I even went back and updated one of my previous items that I made this summer {some really cute chalkboard frames}.  Over the summer I really learned how to use a lot of my Photoshop features.  I love to scrapbook, make cards, and other cute things with paper so I gave digital papers a whirl.  I think I came up with some pretty cute sets.  My Fall Harvest collection is fairly new to the collection.  So if you are in the market for digital paper for personal or commercial use be sure to check it out.

Well that about sums up what I have been making this past month.  As always thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Be sure to link up, I love to see what everyone else comes up with!  There are so many creative teachers out there.

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
