Let’s Get Organized: Plus a Vera Bradley Agenda Giveaway

It is day three of Blog Hoppin’s Back to School Link up and today’s topic is “Why”!!!

Keep reading for a quick and fun little giveaway!!!  Let me just start off by saying that I am by no means the most organized person in the whole world, for that fact not even the most organized in my hall, or probably even in my grade.  But I do like to have some structure to my materials and stuff.  It does make for a much easier day and transitioning with the kiddos if I can find things easily!  I would probably have to say my best organizing effort is labeling.  I label almost everything in my classroom.  Even the candy jar has a label on it, as if candy needs a label to be identified.

I even put labels on all of my notebooks as well as the students.  I number all of their notebooks, supplies, back pack racks, and etc…  I don’t know why but I feel like I just function better with everything having a place and me knowing were it is.  It also helps to be able to tell a seven year old the basket that says, “Turn papers in here”!
If you want to grab some cute free labels just click on the images below!   They will print on Avery’s 2X4 label size too if you are wanting a sticky back!  These were some of the labels I used in my class this year!!

Another little item that helps me keep my sanity is my Vera Bradley Planner!!  I love, love, love it!!!  I am a little old fashion in the sense that I still have to write down what is going on during the week.  Trying to keep up with two girls who are in dance, gymnastics, cheer, and not to mention at another school besides mine…  well, you get the idea,  it can get a little hectic!  Usually on Sundays I sit down and just go over the upcoming week and write down who has what and needs to be where.   I also keep up with all of their and my school events as well in this little planner.  I tried switching over to my iPhone {going digital}, but that was a big no go!!!
Would you like a chance to win a Vera Bradley Agenda for the 2014-2015 school year?  My mom owns a local gift shop {Chinaberries} and she has donated a Vera Bradley Agenda/Planner for me to giveaway on my blog.  She knows how much I love mine and knew that there were probably other teachers out there who would love one too!
Just enter in the Rafflecopter and I will let the winner know by email this Sunday!  It is that easy!!!

Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!   I can’t wait to see how you girls {and guys too} stay organized!  I {heart} comments and followers!!!

I actually use both. Planbook.com is for my lesson planning. I use a planner for school and home meetings and appointments. 🙂

My planning is on paper for the most part. I make templates on the computer but like filling things in by hand.

I definitely use a planner – usually the free one from Laskeshore Learning. I never knew Vera Bradley had a planner.

I actually use both. I use a planner to keep up with important dates and my lesson plans are all digital.

I have always used a hard copy planner. This year I bought a digital one (lots of toner…is the only down side).

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hog’s Day. I can’t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear🤣but it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hog’s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. You’re welcome!😉 ... See MoreSee Less

One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this 👇🏻 bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
