Five for Friday

This week I went and started working on my room.   I am not changing my theme, so that is always a good thing. I start back on August 5th.  Summer flies by way too fast.   Look how shiny the wax floors are in this picture.  I love how pretty the floors are the first few weeks of school.  Our custodians works so hard over the summer to get everything cleaned, dusted and ready for those little kiddos to head back in August.

Spent a few days this week doing what we love best:  playing on the water!   Both times the girls brought along some of their friends.  You would think they would be water logged by now, but they wake up everyday wanting to go swimming.

My birthday gift finally arrived in the mail!  I can’t wait to use this little baby!  I realized after I placed the order online that Hobby Lobby now sales this.  It would have been much quicker to pick it up, but I did not realize they started carrying this product. Oh well, it is here now and I can’t wait to use it!

I currently have all my holiday digital papers, craftivities, and any other activities marked 50% off in my TpT store.   You can visit my blog post from yesterday to see what all is on sale.

Happy Friday!!

Summer sure does fly by! Good luck getting your room all set up and ready to go. The floors do look very shiny! I love the colors of the decorations you have hanging from the walls. Be sure to post some pictures of the room when you're done.

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
