Five for Friday

If you missed my post yesterday, this new digital pack was uploaded and all digital papers are on sale in my TpT shop.  But you better hurry because the sale ends today, so stock up for all your summer projects!!!
Is it just me or does your house feel like this during the summer too???   I am two weeks in and I can’t keep my house clean.  It feels like I have a revolving door with all the kids coming in and out!  Oh well, I guess that is part of summer break!
I just purchased this little gadget and I am excited to get to practice using it.  It is much harder to use than I thought.  It allows you to design or draw your own images on the computer and save the file digitally. It is much easier for me to doodle on paper than this little board.  I think it will just take some getting use too.
I also made a little trip to Michael’s โ€ฆ I know, yikes!!  I just wander around staring at the aisles endlessly thinking of things I can make next!  This is what I did buy, a Project life book with the recipe card inserts.  I have slips of papers tucked in a box in pantry with old recipes written on them.  So, my goal is to put all of them in one spot.  Of course it has to be crafty and cute when I create it and this little book will work perfect.

Last weekend we had a huge crawfish boil for our neighbors!  They recently got a job offer and have to relocate to Houston, Texas {insert a tear and a sniff, sniff}.  This is a great opportunity for them, but I am really going to miss them.  They were the best neighbors, you know the kind where your kids can just go in and out of their house and their kids can do the same at your house.  We had become more than just neighbors we were really good friends.  So, in true Louisiana fashion we had a moving away party with all the neighbors and some friends!!!
That about wraps up my Five for Friday!  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!  I {heart} comments and followers!!

Haha, I've seen that project life one at Michael's too. I have some of my grandmother's recipes – but I'm torn because I want them to stay in her handwriting, so do I just scan them?! Oh decisions, decisions. I'm also very intrigued about your little computer gadget. Keep us posted.

The project life comes with photo sleeves that I guess you could use as inserts to keep the handwritten recipes!! That way you would still have them in one spot, but in their original form!!

Love the Project Life book for recipes. I'll have to check that out. I have a lot of them all over the place too.

I just stumbled across your blog, and for some reason it seemed familiar. I clicked on the link to your TPT store and I figured out why! Our school is a Reading Street school too, so I've definitely checked out (and probably purchased) some of your products! I got a similar tablet like yours around Christmas. I agree that they're a bit tricky and tough to get used to, but they are super cool! I'm trying to spread the word that I'm trying to start a new weekly linkup called Sell It Saturday. I thought you may be interested in joining. I just did the first post today! I'd love for you to join in!

This is my first time reading your blog. I totally know what you mean about summer and having a dirty house! It is so hard to keep it clean during the summer and I have not motivation to clean it when it gets dirty ๐Ÿ™ haha

I want the Project Life recipe cards. I don't know how I haven't seen those before. We just got a brand new Michael's on the Beach. I need to go check and see if they have them there!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
