Well most of my Spring Break has been watching movies, laying around the house, and just being lazy. Why you might ask?? My poor little one had to have her tonsils out! But she has hung in there like a real trooper, plus we {notice I mention WE} have gotten to eat a lot of yummy Popsicles.
Since I have been home all week I am slowly becoming addicted to Netflix’s new series Bloodline. It is so, so good. This is the first season and it has 15 episodes. Plus Sissy Spacek, Sam Shepard, and Kyle Chandler star in it, so what is not love. If you are looking for a serious good family drama with all the twist and murder plots that a good drama would have, then this is your show! I had read several excellent reviews about it and decided I would check it out. I recommend it in a heartbeat. But be warned it is not for little ears!!!
I know this is a little late but I wanted to share some of my students drawings. We followed the directions from First grade Blue Skies directed drawings. I love how the directions are so simple to follow. I love to draw and I find drawing easy to do, but many people do not. What I like about this is, even students who normally do not draw that well are able to produce an awesome picture. One of my students even commented, “I didn’t know I could draw so good”!
We just finished up our money unit in math. I have to say that most of my kiddos did well with money. When we return from Spring Break we are going to be starting measurement! (Sorry no pic – I left that camera at school!)
Last but not least, the Friday before Spring Break I hosted my first Bunco. Some ladies and I in my neighborhood started up a Bunco group. I volunteered to go first and of course the theme was all green for St. Patty’s day! We had a good time. Our next theme is Gardening. I have know idea what I am going to wear yet! Any suggestions???
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek! I {heart} comments!

Here is a suggestion regarding your Garden Party…. Get a wide brimmed hat from a craft store… Decorate with flowers… Place a bird's nest on the top of your hat… Place butterflies throughout… Hope this helps. I did a hat similar to this and won 1st prize! Good luck…

I have no splendorific idea for a hat, but I do have a site to find simple to do art work, like your directed drawing, with very easy instructions and pics…http://monthbymonth.scholastic.com/create.html. Free and fun.
