So, it is official – I will be back at work next week. When do you start back? Although I am sad to see my summer come to an end I am glad to get back in a routine. I hope I will keep up with my blogging, but when your life gets really busy it can be tough to stay a float sometimes.
My family and I just returned from vacation. We visited Seaside, Florida this year. We normally go to Destin, Florida, but decided to venture a little further west. Seaside is such a quaint town. It has the cutest beach cottages you ever did see, plus some really great boutiques to go and shop in. One really good perk for my family was that it sits right between Destin and Panama City, so if you want more restaurants and shopping to choose from the drive is not that far. Here are some of the pictures I took while on vacation. I didn’t take near enough!!
While I was on Vacation I got a post in my FB feed from my friend saying that her mom wanted to sale her monogram machine. I am now the proud owner of a monogram machine. But let me warn you, I can barely sew a button on, so this really ought to be interesting. I see a lot of You Tube videos in my future. It was such a great deal {a really great deal} and I spend a fortune on monogramming, so I thought, why not! If you know of any good embroidery programs, let me know. I have to get one before I can start putting it to use.
While getting some of my ideas/lesson ready for back to school. I stumble across the maps from jimapco.com. They are so cute and kid friendly. I love to teach geography {actually anything social studies or science} and so I thought these would work perfect to put on the smart board or document camera. You could even print them out for group activities.
I have been a #bloghoppin2015 little mama these past few weeks. I don’t enter to many competitions, but I am always down for a good scavenger hunt. Plus, I really want to bring some iPads into my classroom. Here a few pictures of some of the points I racked up during the #bloghoppin’2015 adventure!
