A New Product and A Chance to Win

I haven’t sat down and written a blog post in a few weeks because I have been busy enjoying my summer.  I have linked up here and there, but not really sat down and caught up on my blogging.

My in-laws have been in the past week visiting from North Carolina! The girls were really excited to see them since we do not get to visit them as much!  We took them on a little day trip over to Jefferson, Texas and did a little antique shopping.  I have been on a mad search for old wooden salt and pepper shakers.  I saw the cutest idea on Pinterest where old shakers were sanded, chalked painted, distressed, and then had a final wax paint finish on them.  It was super cute and I am convinced that I could make it.  Now if I could only find old wooden salt and pepper shakers.  We went in what seemed like a ton of antique shops, but no such luck on the salt and pepper shakers.  I guess the search is still on!!!

I have also been busy with my oldest daughter the past couple of weeks.  She has had dance camps and today she finally had tryouts for her performing group!   I am relived to say that she made it!  So we will be traveling and performing a lot again this upcoming year.   She really works hard at dance.  She loves to dance so much, but it does not come natural for her like it does for others {she probably gets this from me, I basically have two left feet}.  She has to put in a lot of work, time, and effort to make it look as good as the other girls!  But this is her sport and passion and she does not seem to mind putting in the effort!

I also wanted to share with you my newest product I made.  I made a Back to School Pack that is loaded with a lot of print-and-go activities to keep you busy those first few days of schools.   Below is just a peek of some of the things that are included in the pack.  There are 20 different printables!

If you would like a chance to win this pack!   Just leave a comment below telling me how you have been staying busy this summer and I will pick one lucky winner to receive this back to school pack.  Don’t forget to also leave your email address!!  I can’t wait to hear from you!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!  I {heart} comments and followers!!

The pack look great but I can't tell you how I've been staying busy out of school this summer because we're still in school until July 24th! I am busy in school though – final few weeks with the kids is always a tiring time!

I have been staying busy with my oldest granddaughter's graduation from high school & the party we gave for her. Had lots of family in from Ohio (I live in NC). My son & his family were in for a week! What a wonderful (and tiring) week it was. Rest of my summer will be spontaneous.

I have been staying busy with my three boys. We are either at baseball games or soccer games almost every night. Can't wait to go on vacation to Canada.

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
