All About Bats Activities and Research

A fun Google Classroom resource that teaches elementary students all about bats. It can be used during the fall season, Halloween, or as a bat research project. Students will have fun completing the bat activities. Google slides can printed out to have bat worksheets. Each slide has a task that a student must complete in order to move to the next bat activity.

Description

Looking for fun a fun bat activity to use with your third – fifth grade students.  This Google Classroom resource is all you need to cover bats. It is a perfect companion to use during the fall season, Halloween, or for bat research. Your lessons will become more engaging as students learn all about bats with a variety of bat activities. Each slide contains a formative task that the student must complete. Once they have completed the task they may move on to the next task or slide. This bat project can be completed as a student paced, group, or whole class activity.
 
Each slide contains instructions on what the students are to complete and accomplish before moving forward. Also, included is a set of slides that let the learner research an assigned bat to dive even more deeper into their learning.

Lifecycle of Bats and Bat Pups
Saving Bats
Bat Extinction and Its Causes
Reading Passages
Researching an Assigned Bat

One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this 👇🏻 bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.
