So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโs Day. I canโt be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐คฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโs Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโre welcome!๐ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐๐ป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.
Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY

Jamie – Love your list. Food will get them every time. I use "cootie catchers" also. The only problem…once I show them how to make them, I cannot get them to stop!

my comments aren't staying here ๐
Okay so now they are staying I will try again!
I totally agree with teachers being irreplaceable. I remember fondly my 7th grade teacher and she was hugely inspiring to me. My high school history teacher also made me see that I was/am way more capable than I gave myself credit for.

I love your list. I try to teach with food at least once a week- the kids love it. Also kids feelings getting hurt, is so up my alley with Kindergarteners. That's a mini lesson in its own to teach them how to work through those feelings. Keep sharing, love your blog
Even second graders need a lesson on feelings. I appreciate you stopping by!!!!
Jamie
