Blogger Exchange and Saturday Snapshots

Well the weekend is finally here!!!  I survived my first full week back to school.  But I have to tell you, I was one tired little mama come Friday afternoon.  Have you ever heard the saying, “Stick a fork in me, I am done”.   That is exactly how I felt by Friday afternoon.   It is so crazy how you get so out of whack from being off for a few months.  I really think it has more to do with all the stress that goes along with making sure everything is up and running that first week.  No worries though,  I will have all my mojo back in full force within another week.
Now on to fun blogging stuff!  I am linking up with two great blogs {Covered in Glitter and Glue and Run! Mrs. Nelson’s Got the Camera} for their linky parties.  The first is with Covered in Glitter and Glue.  About a month ago I signed up to participate in the Blogger Exchange.   I have to admit that this was the first time that I did something like this.

I was so happy when my package finally arrived.  My blogger exchange partner was Portia Pitts from Tidbits From Ms. Pitts.  I love how her blog name rhymes.  Plus we kinda match since both of our blogs have “Tidbits” in the title.  First it arrived in a cute pink box.  Oh, the fun of unwrapping!!!  It was a cute teacher tote with my initial monogrammed on it.   The monogrammed also had a little yellow daisy by it.  It will match my theme perfectly.   I also loved that the bag had pockets in the front where you could store scissors, pens, or whatever you need.   I absolutely loved it.  Thank you Portia so much.  You brightened my week.  I hope my arrived in one piece {ha}! I also want to thank Covered in Glitter and Glue and Adventures of Ms. Smith for hosting.  It was so nice to receive a little something for back to school.
The second person I am linking up with is with Michele at Run! Mrs. Nelson’s Got the Camera for her Saturday Snapshots!   Most of my snapshots have to do with going back to school.  I just love looking at other people’s pictures.  It is kinda like you get a small glimpse into their life.  Here is a glimpse into some of the things going on in my life.
This is my second grade team!  Hands down the best group of women/teachers to work with!!!
The girls and I on our first official day back to school!

They needed a pictured with daddy too!!!
I had to include this one in my snapshots.  I totally love it!  I didn’t even know that my oldest had taken this picture of herself until I was writing this post and going through the pictures on the camera.   What a silly girl!!!!
So there you have it, my two link ups!  This week has been exhausting but exciting at the same time.  I can’t wait to read about your blogger exchange and take a peek at your snapshots.  Don’t forget to enter my 100 follower giveaway.   A winner will be announced at the end of next week.  As always thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!

Jamie, I love that your team has matching shirts. That's so sweet. You and your girls look like you had a great first day back to school. Love the tongue picture of your oldest! That should be framed!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
