Blog Hoppin’ – 10 Things About Me

Ok, so here are 10 random things about me:
1.  I am a christian, mother of 2, wife, and second grade teacher.
2.  I obsessed with the Real Housewives series on Bravo.  My two favorite wives to watch are Real Housewives of New Jersey {I like Teresa, I must confess} and Real Housewives of Beverly Hills.  I know what your thinking, try not to judge.  It is a guilty pleasure.
3.  If you have read any of my other post in the past then you know how much I love to be on the water.  It does not matter if it is the beach, lake, or pool.  My family and I are definitely water people.
4.  I can eat crawfish like they are going out of style {it may or may not be a Louisiana thing … just saying}!  I am always up for a crawfish boil!!!!
5.  I love to craft.  Finding the time is the hard part.  I even have a room dedicated to crafting in my house.  It is my office/craft room.
6.   I still hang out with some of my friends from elementary, middle, and high school.   A few of us have kept in touch.
7.  I have taught middle school, third grade, and second grade.
8.  I am an organization freak.  I like everything to be a certain spot.  When clutter is around me I feel like I cannot function.
9.   Procrastinating drives me absolutely bonkers.   I like things to be done sooner rather than later {this is where the hubs and I disagree}.
10.  Believe it or not I am a very laid back person.  Sure I have my few quirks {I am my own worst critic}, but ask anyone that knows me well enough and they will tell you that it takes a lot to get me aggravated!
Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  I can’t wait to read 10 random things about you.   Don’t forget to enter my 100 follower giveaway.  A winner will be chosen on Saturday!!!

Hi Jamie! We all have our guilty pleasures. When my kids were really little, I used to hide the Duncan Hines frosting in the fridge, wait until they went to bed and then eat it with a spoon while I surfed online!!

Organization freaks unite! I'm exactly the same way. I can't even leave my classroom for the night if my work table is cleared off and everything is ready and organized for the next day. Which unfortunately means I stay late on many days! I'm one of your newest followers- found you through the Five for Friday linky. ๐Ÿ™‚

I nominated you for a Liebster Award- just a fun way to spread the blog-love around! To find out more about how to accept it, check out my blog post at:

Hi Jamie! I, too, am an organization freak, as you called it! Haha! Things must be sitting/put a certain way before I can move on with life! Even- when I was in the process of setting up my classroom, I had to put everything away at the end of each day that wasn't yet on the walls/in its spot because I couldn't take it cluttering the desk tops until the next day! Love it:) I'm proud of it haha! Great post!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
