Fabulous Finds Friday

I am linking up with Hoots N’ Hollers for their brand new linky Fabulous Finds Friday.   You can basically can list any thing you find that you think is worthy of a mention.  They only ask that it pertains to education and that it is not a product you are selling.  So come on ladies let’s share some great things we find.
My first fabulous find was at the Target dollar spot.  Why is this spot so irresistible?  As soon as I park my car, I start telling myself, “Don’t stop at the dollar spot, don’t stop at the dollar spot!”  But it never fails {as you can all see I am not good at talking myself into something} I end up stopping.  Even if I am in a hurry, I some how manage to make time to stop.  Well on my latest adventure to Target I found some really cute pencils and stickers.  Of course I had to nab them, because I give pencils out for all sorts of reason.  Whether you made your AR goal, birthday, or just because.  I really like the plain pencils with just a simple word on it.  I really think I found something great and all for a dollar each.
The  second fab find I found this past week was an App called Core.  Many of you probably have heard of this app.  However, my parish just switched to Common Core this past year.  So all of this core business is fairly new to me.  I notice when I was lesson planning or making a unit for my TpT shop I was constantly needing to look up standards.  While I playing on my phone the other day I found it while searching for Apps.  It has come in real handy these past few days.  You just chose your grade and it list the strand with a description.  It works on both the IPhone and Ipad.  They have made it so easy to find and access the standards.

As always thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  Be sure to link up.  I can’t wait to read about your fabulous finds.

This app looks great! I have never come across it before… Also, I just had to smile when you were telling of your Target Dollar Spot adventure and trying to resist the temptation. I am the same way! Thanks so much for taking the time to share your fabulous finds and being the first to link up!!

    Have a splendid long weekend!

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
