Five for Friday

So sorry I have been slacking in blog post the past few weeks.  The only time I link up is on Friday for this linky!  I am going to try and do better next week.

Today officially starts my Fall Break.  Whoop, Whoop for me!  I am off Friday and Monday.   I don’t have anything fabulous planned.  Just a little rest and hanging out around the house.  Sometimes those are the best kinds of breaks!

We had a visit from Chuck E. Cheese to promote a fundraiser.   It amazes me how much kids love that darn mouse.

We also had a visit from the rodeo clowns.  Only in the south does bulls and rodeo clowns come and visit your school.

I am lovin’ all the pumpkin characters my students have been turning in.   I think they are so adorable.  We have received so many comments on them.   We are even getting to display them in the library.  Be sure to check out my Pumpkin Book Report that goes along with the activity.

What goes “clomp, clomp” and “boo, boo”?   I read the book, “The Little Old Lady Who Was Not Afraid of Anything” to my class.  They really enjoyed hearing the story.  I like when they start making the sounds that goes along with a story.  This is a quick, but great read to share with your class.  It is also perfect for this time of year.

Well, that about wraps up my Five for Friday!  As always thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  I {heart} comments and followers.  I can’t wait to read your Five for Friday.

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
