So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hog’s Day. I can’t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear🤣but it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hog’s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. You’re welcome!😉 ... See MoreSee Less

One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this 👇🏻 bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.
Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY

I have a little mini lesson on Johnny Appleseed. I'm happy to share it with you if you email me at a teaspoonofthird@aol.com. It's just a little lesson with a writing prompt, apple pie recipe, and some fun facts about apples. http://www.teacherspayteachers.com/Product/Johnny-Appleseed-774559

I would love it!! Thanks!

Wow! You guys really do go all out with Mr. John Chapman! I love how both your school and community comes together to promote this…and a $50 grand prize for the drawing contest isn't too bad either! Thanks for sharing your great ideas and for stopping over to my blog to check out my Toothy activity! I just posted a new post on how I use brag tags in my classroom…you'll have to check it out! 🙂

Yum, yum, yum! Your community is awesome! Tomorrow is our culminating day and we'll be tasting all kinds of apple things too. This is my favorite time of year! Teaching with Giggles
Sounds like a fun unit!! I loved teaching Johnny Appleseed when I taught younger grades!
