May Currently

I am linking up with Farley for her May currently.  Before I get started I must say, I absolutely love this background for this months currently.   It is so spring and festive looking.
Listening:
I am currently listening/watching Shark Tank.  I find myself drawn to this show on Friday nights for some reason.  I amazed at all the neat ideas that people come up with.
Loving:
I love that the weather has been absolutely just perfect lately.  Plus everything is in bloom and my yard looks great.  If only it would stay this way ๐Ÿ˜‰
Thinking:
My last day is May 22nd and I have a ton to do before it gets here.  I have benchmark test, SLT’s, end of year test, DIBELS, honor assemblies, Mother’s Day projects, and the list just goes on and on!  No worries though I manage to finish it every year!
Wanting:
I really want a pedicure.  With all the great weather we have been having it is perfect time for sandals.  Although my toes look ok, I could use a good foot massage.
Needing:
My oldest is having her birthday party next weekend and I need to print and get decorations all put together.  I want to work on this task this weekend so I am not rushed trying to do it during the week.
Surprise:
I really enjoy reading Shelly’s Smiling and Shining in Second Grade blog.   I like that she always seems to be cover the same material about the same time as me, even though we live in different states.  Plus she has great ideas, great products, and great freebies.  Be sure to stop by and check out her blog.
Well that about wraps it up for me.  I hope you have a great weekend.  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek.  I {heart} comments and followers!

Party planning sounds like fun… but definitely a lot of work!
It's the weekend – so you deserve to treat yourself to a pedi!!!

I'm guessing you're in the south, because I don't know of many other places that get out on May 22nd. It's our last day, too! Well, the teachers have to go on the 23rd, but other than that we are D.O.N.E. ๐Ÿ™‚ Of course, I'm the nut job who is teaching summer school and starting another endorsement. Have fun getting ready for the birthday party, though I think we may both have to sneak out for pedicures. ๐Ÿ˜‰

Enjoy putting together your daughter's birthday party! I just finished giving a retirement party and now am planning a bridal shower….it's never ending. I'm SO in need of a pedi and put that on my Currently too. Let's make it a teacher date!

Soo…much to do and so…little time! More hours in the day and some superhero stamina in our bodies would be great but even without that we teachers manage to get it all in…."No worries" and all…that's a true superhero if you ask me!!! Happy planning!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
