Five for Friday

I am back {finally} to catch up on a little bloggin’!  I know I have been a little MIA lately, but I have been enjoying my summer!  We just got back from vacation and my family and I have been staying super busy!!
Speaking of my vacation here are a few pics!  We just returned after spending a week in Destin, Florida.  I must confess I did a horrible job of taking pictures this year on v-cay!!  I don’t know why.  I brought my good camera and was ready to go but  all I took was about 6 photos with my phone!   I am really slacking in the picture taking department!!  Anyways โ€ฆ We had a great time and we came back all nice and tanned!!  I seriously love the beach!  Something about it is so relaxing to me!

This past Tuesday was my birthday!  I am officially 37 years old {inching closer to the big 4-0}!! I have to tell you a quick funny story about the birthday cake.  The hubs picked me up a cookie cake for my b-day!  We told the girls they had to wait till after dinner to eat it.  When I went to cut the cake there   were finger holes all in the cake where one of them tired to sneak small little pieces without it being noticeable!  There was more than the one hole in the picture and I almost would not have noticed if the icing had not been out of place.  I have my suspicions, but at the Knefely house no one is saying!!
I made a little trip to Office Max this past week and scored some really cute school supplies!   I like to say I got this really great deal on all of this, but I did not!  I didn’t mind though!  Something about school supply shopping makes me happy!

I finally joined in on all the craze!  After I purchased a few sets of Jamberry Nails and tried them out I decided to sale them!  I haven’t really made any money because anytime I do I turn around and spend it  right back in more products!  But there are three girls in this house that loves to have pretty nails and toes!!   I mostly just use them on my toes because I am so plain jane on my fingers {I rarely paint my finger nails}, but I always have to have my toes painted!  I love how these stay on and they have fun designs too!   For more info check it out at http://jamieknefely.jamberrynails.net!
That’s all I got folks!!  Thanks for stopping by and taking a peek!  Happy Friday! I {heart} comments and followers!

Glad you had fun again on your Destin trip. I read so many blogs that people come this way to the beach. Wish I would've known you were here. We could've met up!

That is too funny about your cake. My niece and nephew always do the same thing. Glad you had a nice time in Destin. Sometimes it's nice not taking pictures the whole time on vacation so you can live in the moment.

That's hysterical about the birthday cake! Cookie cakes are my favorite, so I would've wanted to sneak a piece, too. Now I need to make a trip to Office Max because those school supplies are so cute!

This is how many students act in 2026. Teachers will identify with every single one of the students I portray here. Funny teacher video.

So what is this you might ask? It is my last minute version of a craft for Ground Hogโ€™s Day. I canโ€™t be the only one who decides the day of to do a craft and wing it, right? It looks more like a bear๐Ÿคฃbut it was suppose to be a groundhog with facts about Ground Hogโ€™s Day. No directions required just pull construction paper and glue. Youโ€™re welcome!๐Ÿ˜‰ ... One of my most favorite boards in my classroom is this ๐Ÿ‘‡๐Ÿป bulletin board right here! This is how it looks at the beginning of each year. As the year progresses I hang student art work and writings up. At the end of the year I take the work off and it is in order, neat and tidy, and students now have a portfolio of their best 2nd grade work. The bright folders I use to match my classroom theme are cut in half and the sign is just typed up in PowerPoint.

Here is a link to the bright file folders I used on this board (I use the extra folders to keep stuff stored in my filing cabinet): amzn.to/4mS2GhY
